Trading my perspective for another’s

I’ve heard of different forms of color blindness but I met someone who actually has it.

This person shared how it impacts how they see certain colors and it seemed so cool to me.

Different yet not less and it made me think of how we often want to trade our God-given abilities for another’s because we feel ours is less than.

The things that make me unique give me the ability to experience life in a way that’s peculiar to me and that also reflects on my personal relationship with the Lord and how I relate with others.

So from now on, I will choose to observe and acknowledge my peculiarities as God’s gift to me.

With gratitude, I will embrace all I am rather than shift my focus to another’s.

In this, I get to live in the reality that I have everything I need. I’m not less than but just right.

His goodness reflects in my uniqueness.

God saw you and I and said ‘this is good’.
